La Lancha

Tucked away in the rainforest in Guatemala’s Petén region, La Lancha is an intimate lodge owned by Francis Ford Coppola and composed of ten rustic casitas. The hotel is set into a hillside above Lake Petén Itzá, a short drive from the Mayan ruins of Tikal, and enjoys panoramic views of the lake and jungle canopy below. It offers an open-air restaurant and bar, pool, common area with guest library and wi-fi, and complimentary canoes for lake outings.
