National Geographic Endurance: The most advanced ice-class expedition ship afloat, offering unprecedented access to polar regions
The National Geographic Endurance launched in July 2021. Named in honor of polar explorer Ernest Shackleton’s ship, it is designed to navigate polar passages year-round while providing exceptional comfort. The National Geographic Endurance will safely explore unchartered waters and new latitudes, including Northeast Greenland, remote Jan Mayen Island, the Northeast Passage and more! Purpose-built for polar navigation, the National Geographic Endurance is an ice-class Polar Code PC5 (Category A) vessel. A patented X-bow® with powerful wave-slicing action provides an extremely smooth ride in even adverse conditions, and also reduces spray on deck for superior observation.
