Lastarria is a nice area for walking around, with quiet streets, flowering trees, attractive colonial architecture, and a variety of restaurants and boutiques.

By arriving two days before your Easter Island visit, you won’t have to worry about the risk of any flight delays or missed connections causing you to miss this experience.

Accommodations: Singular Santiago

The 62 room Singular Santiago is one of the top boutique hotel options in Santiago, elegantly combining the style of early 20th century buildings with neoclassical French architectural influences. Situated in the historic and stylish Lastarria neighborhood, the hotel features a restaurant and a rooftop terrace with swimming pool and bar.

Alternative lodging options: Casa Bueras Lastarria Boutique, Hotel Magnolia

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2003 for its architectural and cultural significance, the city is one of Chile’s most interesting. Spend the afternoon wandering among colorfully painted buildings and winding, art-filled streets, with spectacular views of the harbor below. Your private guide will lead you through two of the most famous and eclectic neighborhoods, Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, and you will have the chance to visit one of Pablo Neruda’s three homes-turned-museums, La Sebastiana.
