Day 1:

Welcome to Chile

Chile - Santiago at dusk

Arrive to Santiago, Chile’s metropolitan capital, where your private guide will take you to your hotel in the charming Lastarria neighborhood. Lastarria is a nice area for walking around, with quiet streets, flowering trees, attractive colonial architecture, and a variety of restaurants and boutiques.

Accommodations: Singular Santiago

The 62 room Singular Santiago opened in the fall of 2014. Though it is one of the newest boutique hotel options in Santiago, the hotel combines the style of early 20th century buildings with neoclassical French architectural influences. It is situated in the historic and stylish Lastarria neighborhood, and offers a restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop pool and deck with city views, and a spa.

Day 2:

Day Trip to Wine Country and Valparaiso, a Colorful Port City

Chile - Valparaiso - Port view

Travel into the wine region and stop for a tour and tasting at Viña Catrala, a boutique winery known for its pinot noir and sauvignon blanc. Continue to the central coast to discover Valparaiso, one of the first Chilean cities founded by the Spanish and the former home of Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2003 for its architectural and cultural significance, the city is one of Chile’s most interesting. Spend the afternoon wandering among colorfully painted buildings and winding, art-filled streets, with spectacular views of the harbor below. Your private guide will lead you through two of the most famous and eclectic neighborhoods, Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, and you will have the chance to visit one of Pablo Neruda’s three homes-turned-museums, La Sebastiana.

Accommodations: Singular Santiago

*Includes: Breakfast, Lunch

Fly to Easter Island, One of the World’s Most Remote Inhabited Islands

Easter Island - Moai Statues

Depart the mainland and head to mythic Easter Island on a flight of roughly five hours. A local representative will be waiting at the Mataveri Airport to take you to your lodgings, a beautiful and refined boutique hotel overlooking the South Pacific Ocean. Here, you will meet the staff and guides, have a briefing to go over your excursion options for the coming days, and enjoy time to relax and begin exploring this beautiful area.

Accommodations: Explora Rapa Nui

Explora Rapa Nui sits on a hill overlooking the expanse of the South Pacific Ocean, and is the most refined lodging on Easter Island. The hotel design, with its 30 rooms and suites, fits harmoniously into the geography of the island and was carefully constructed to have minimal impact on the environment. Local volcanic rock and pine wood were the primary construction materials. Excursions are led by outstanding local guides and are tailored to match your interests and activity level. An exceptional option for your visit to Easter Island.
