Pikaia Lodge Galapagos
Pikaia Lodge is located in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island, in the Galapagos archipelago. The remote hotel is a unique tribute to Charles Darwin and the theory of evolution, a connection reflected in the artwork and décor. (The hotel itself is named for the Pikaia Gracilens, believed to be the first creature to have evolved into a vertebrate.) Designed to be eco-friendly, Pikaia Lodge uses alternative energy sources and has its own private Tortoise Reserve on the property. The hotel offers a restaurant, lobby bar and lounge, reading room, pool, and spa, and has its own yacht for excursions in the islands.
