Pura Vida Expedition, Pela Vez Departure (5 Days)

Day 1 | Marina Pez Vela – Nicoya Gulf
Arrive in Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, where you’ll board the Kontiki Wayra.

Day 2 | Alcatraz Island
Anchor at Alcatraz Island for a day of water activities including kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and Seabob rides. Afterward, relax on a secluded beach with drinks and a freshly prepared seafood lunch.

Day 3 | Savegre River
After breakfast, take a private transfer to the Savegre River for a white-water rafting class on class II and III rapids, suitable for all experience levels. Return to the yacht for lunch, followed by an afternoon of water activities in Biesanz Bay, including kayaking, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and Seabob rides.

Day 4 | Caño Island
Arrive at Isla del Caño for a guided snorkeling expedition over one of the Pacific’s best-preserved coral reefs, with possible whale sightings during the season. After lunch onboard, enjoy an afternoon of marine activities before sailing to Drake Bay, keeping an eye out for dolphins along the way.

Day 5 | Corcovado National Park & Disembark
Disembark at Corcovado National Park for a guided visit to La Sirena ranger station, exploring one of the most biodiverse rainforests on Earth. Return to the yacht for lunch, followed by a relaxing afternoon onboard with optional workshops as you sail to Puerto Jiménez, where you will disembark.

Day 1 | Golfito
Arrive at Marina Bahia Golfito, where you’ll board the Kontiki Wayra.

Day 2 | Los Mogos
Spend a relaxing day at Los Mogos. Enjoy a guided kayak tour through the pristine mangroves of Rio Esquinas, home to a unique and vibrant ecosystem. Afterward, return to the yacht for a gourmet lunch on a secluded beach, featuring fresh seafood and local flavors. Soak in the beauty of the rainforest and sea, and watch for wildlife like monkeys and macaws. The Oceanic Club will be deployed for leisure activities, followed by dinner onboard.

Day 3 | Punta Adela – Puerto Jimenez
Arrive at Punta Adela for a unique underwater experience along a submerged coral trail, part of a restoration project in the biodiverse Golfo Dulce—home to vibrant marine life including schools of fish and hammerhead sharks. After lunch aboard the yacht, head to Puerto Jiménez for a guided visit to Finca Kobo, a traditional Costa Rican cacao farm. Here, you’ll sample homemade chocolate fondue before returning to the yacht.

Day 4 | Corcovado National Park
Disembark at La Sirena station in Corcovado National Park, the crown jewel of Costa Rica’s South Pacific and one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. Explore its ancient rainforest, home to towering trees, vibrant bromeliads, scarlet macaws, tapirs, spider monkeys, and the elusive jaguar. After an immersive jungle experience, return to the yacht for lunch and the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 5 | Caño Island & Disembark
Arrive at Isla del Caño for a guided snorkeling expedition in one of the Pacific’s largest and best-preserved coral reefs. Known for its rich marine life, the island is also a breeding ground for humpback whales, often spotted during whale season (July–September). After exploring the vibrant underwater world, return to the yacht for lunch before disembarking at Drake Bay.
