Fram: A Nordic expedition vessel for cruising polar waters

The MS Fram is purpose-built as a polar expedition vessel. With sailings in both the Arctic and Antarctica, it is designed with a high ice class, meant to operate in the most difficult ice conditions, and comes equipped with chart drawing tools, a ship depth sounding database, an extractable forward sounding sonar, iceberg search lights, an autonomous tracking system, an oversized oil retention system for self-sufficiency, and a full ‘expedition tools-deck’ (sized equivalent to a car-deck that holds 25 vehicles). The impressive polar vessel combines all oceans capabilities with safety, flexibility, and environmental friendliness.
