Australis Small Ship Patagonia Cruises: Cruise through Patagonia's fjords, glaciers and channels on a first-class small ship accessible no other way

Days: 5 | From: $2,466-$6,927/per person

Australis sails through some of the most remote waters on earth — the Strait of Magellan, the Beagle Channel, and the channels of southern Patagonia that few travelers ever reach. Several of the destinations visited along the way are accessible only by sea, among them Cape Horn, the Pía Glacier, and the penguin colonies of Magdalena Island.

Voyages run 5 or 9 nights, with one-way and round trip options sailing between Ushuaia and Punta Arenas.

Why Book with Vaya

Australis cruises can be booked directly, but most of our clients find the cruise works best as part of a longer Patagonia trip rather than a standalone voyage. Our specialists can build the cruise into a seamless itinerary that combines time in Torres del Paine, El Calafate, the Atacama, or Tierra del Fuego, handling all logistics across borders, transfers, and accommodation along the way.

We have been arranging travel to Patagonia for over 20 years, and our relationships with local operators mean we can help secure your preferred cabin categories, advise on the best routing for your travel dates, and tailor everything around your travel dates and interests.

The cruise through the Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel was the icing on the cake. What a magical way to celebrate my parents' 60th anniversary with our extended family.

Bob McGrory

The cruise on the Australis was such a great adventure; we visited Cape Horn and a glacier, and got to see penguins from a Zodiac. The food and cabins on the ship were excellent.

Diana O'Loane and Rick Grandoni

Stella Australis: Terrific cruise—exceeded expectations.

Alan Weyl

The guides on the Australis were excellent. They gave us lectures before the tours and gave tons of information during the tour.
