Welcome to Santiago

Arrive to Santiago, Chile’s metropolitan capital, where your private guide will take you to your boutique hotel in the charming Lastarria neighborhood. Lastarria is a nice area for walking around, with quiet streets, flowering trees, attractive colonial architecture, and a variety of restaurants and boutiques.
There are plenty of things to see and do in the Santiago area, and activities for a range of interests, including bicycling, culinary adventures, and tours focused on the city’s Jewish heritage, hidden art galleries, and fascinating street art. If you prefer to get out of the city, we can arrange private day tours or overnight trips to the coast to visit the colorful port city of Valparaiso, or Pablo Neruda’s house at Isla Negra, or to some of Chile’s renowned vineyards and wineries.

Hotel Magnolia is set in a renovated 1929 mansion in downtown Santiago, close to Santa Lucia Hill, museums, the historic center, and Barrio Lastarria. Take a private tour of Santiago and visit the colonial and modern highlights, including the Plaza de Armas and the La Moneda Presidential Palace. Travel South to Puerto Varas

Fly south to Puerto Montt, where you will be met at the airport for a short transfer to Puerto Varas, a small town at the edge of Lake Llanquihue. The southern part of the Lake District is a unique area of Chile, with architecture, food, and landscapes that can’t be found anywhere else in the country. Upon arrival, the local guides at your hotel will talk with you about your interests and help you plan out your excursions for the coming days.

Located outside the town of Puerto Varas, Hotel AWA offers panoramic views of Lake Llanquihue and Osorno Volcano. Rooms are equipped with a fireplace and whirlpool bath, and the hotel has a restaurant, spa, and heated pool.

Explore the Lake District

Enjoy guided excursions each day to explore Puerto Varas and its surroundings. This area is known for its beautiful natural scenery as well as its surprising German heritage. There are plenty of options for every interest. Active and adventurous excursions include hiking, road or mountain biking, sea kayaking, rafting, horseback riding, and more. For a more relaxed experience, the area offers excellent bird watching and cultural exploration of the area’s charming villages. Some recommended activities include the “El Solitario” Trail in Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park or a visit to Alerce Andino National Park.
Transfer North to Pucón

Take a scenic drive north to Pucón. As you traverse the lake district, your route will take you by snowcapped volcanoes, glittering lagoons, and beautiful mountain scenery. Upon arrival, the local guides at your hotel will work with you to plan your excursions for the days ahead.
