Set among landscaped gardens, the Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa is an urban sanctuary in the heart of Johannesburg. The hotel offers exceptional service and an intimate atmosphere. Fly to the mighty Victoria Falls. Known in a local language as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Smoke That Thunders,” Victoria Falls straddles the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe and plummets some 354 feet into the gorge below. At over five thousand feet wide, it is the world’s largest falling sheet of water. Your secluded lodge is on a private section of riverbank, just a short distance from the falls themselves. Over the next three nights you can enjoy a range of activities at your Relais & Chateaux lodge, including a tour of the falls, sunset river cruises, canoeing, birding, and gourmet dining experiences that highlight Zambian cuisine.

Accommodations: Royal Chundu River Lodge, 3 nights
Set on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, the Royal Chundu River Lodge is a place of solitude and unspoiled nature. The lodge, whose name means the "meeting place of the Chief," overlooks the majestic river and surrounding bushveld, and is buffered by river rapids both upstream and down. Spacious suites and lounging areas blend colonial elegance and African charm, offering 10 beautiful villas situated along the shoreline.
*Includes: All InclusiveThe Smoke that Thunders: Victoria Falls

Experience one of nature’s supreme masterpieces. No photograph can truly prepare you for the immensity of Victoria Falls. Walk through the rainforest with your private guide, who will tell you about the history of Victoria Falls and introduce you to the surrounding flora and fauna.
In the afternoon, enjoy some leisure time at your lodge, indulge in a spa treatment or gaze out at the river from the edge of the pool.
Explore Victoria Falls and Cruise the Zambezi River

Get to know this remarkable area with an activity on offer at your lodge, or let us arrange something a little more adventurous, such as rafting, a helicopter ride, or a microlight flight. You may also choose to spend time visiting a local community project, canoeing with a private guide, trying your hand at some catch-and-release tiger fishing, or visiting a local rhino sanctuary.
In the evening, set out for a sunset cruise along the mighty Zambezi River, one of Africa’s largest river systems. Watch the sun sink behind the trees as you keep an eye out for the abundant birdlife along the shore and wildlife coming down for a drink. Enjoy canapes and drinks as you celebrate your time in Africa.
Journey to Chobe National Park

Journey across the border to Botswana and your next safari destination. Though most famous for its huge concentration of elephants, Chobe National Park is one of the most biologically diverse parks in Africa and is home to an impressive wealth of animal life. There is no better place to watch elephants frolic and swim in the water as they come down to the banks of the Chobe River to play. Buffalo, zebra, hippos, lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah, as well as hundreds of bird species, are all spotted regularly here. Game drives and boat cruises are on offer as this park showcases its huge herds and diverse wildlife. This afternoon, head out for your first game drive in this exceptional national park.

Accommodations: Chobe Chilwero Lodge, 2 nights
Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is a luxurious retreat in the heart of the bush, located on the edge of Chobe National Park. This is the second largest national park in Botswana, home to some 80,000 elephants. From the lodge’s hilltop position, guests can enjoy panoramic views over the Chobe River and floodplain below. The main public area includes a lounge, library, and dining room, which are linked to outdoor viewing patios. Relax in the split-level swimming pool or unwind at the full-service spa, complete with a treetop treatment room.

Set out with your expert safari guide in search of iconic African wildlife. Animals are most active in the early morning and late afternoon hours, and your game drives will center around these prime times of day. Learn about the complexity and interconnectedness of the bush as you venture through the park in an open Landcruiser, immersing yourself in the safari experience.
Fly to the Okavango Delta

After another spectacular sunrise game drive in Chobe, head to Kasane to board your safari flight to the Okavango Delta. There is nothing more evocative about a safari than touching down at the airstrip of your next luxury lodge and knowing you are someplace truly remote.
Once you’ve settled in at the lodge, head out into the wilds of the Okavango Delta on your first game excursion, where you may cruise the vast network of waterways or hop in a custom safari vehicle for a game drive. Your expert guide will lead you to the wildlife and natural wonders of this region.

Accommodations: Tuludi Camp, 3 nights
Tuludi is a sophisticated, intimate safari camp and with every detail attended to, this camp offers an iconic Okavango Delta experience in the most refined of surroundings. Enjoy the space and serenity of an exclusive private reserve on the fringes of the Okavango Delta with only a handful of camps in over 200,000 hectares as you set out for game drives, walking safaris and fantastic water-based game viewing during each day of your stay. Spend afternoons relaxing in camp, with a large swimming pool at the main area, a plunge pool in your private deck, and a treehouse library, there are plenty of spaces for a spot of chill out time.
*Includes: All InclusiveSafari in the Khwai Private Reserve: Okavango Delta

Explore the Okavango Delta, a unique natural phenomenon. The Khwai Concession is a pristine private reserve, nestled in the heart of the Okavango and bordering the famous Moremi Game Reserve. It is a paradise of grasslands, floodplains, lagoons and forests, and a focal point of the area is the Khwai River, which attracts an unparalleled amount of wildlife.
Large elephant herds roam the reserve, along with sable and roan antelope, kudu, wildebeest, and zebra, as well as those that prey on them: lions, hyenas and wild dogs. Hundreds of bird species also make their home here. As this is a private reserve, you will have the option to do a night drive, offering you the added benefit of seeing the nocturnal animals, which keep a low profile during the daylight hours.
Another Day on Safari in the Okavango

Enjoy another day in the wild, participating in an exciting game drive or in some of the water activities for which this region is famous. Explore the crystal-clear waterways of the Okavango Delta while silently gliding in a traditional Mokoro Canoe, or get a little further afield aboard a small flat-bottomed motorboat. Spotting smaller creatures in the reeds, enjoying the peaceful tranquility of this unique landscape, and cruising through the endless network of channels to spot larger game is one of the joys of a safari in Botswana.
In the heat of the day, indulge in some relaxation in camp with a dip in the pool, or an armchair safari from your private deck.
Farewell Africa
Enjoy a final morning at your lodge before saying goodbye to the bush. Transfer to the airstrip and fly to Maun and then to Johannesburg, where you can connect with your international flight home or continue your onward journey.
