Julie’s career in the travel industry began with a year in Egypt, diving deep into the culture as she explored bustling souqs, ancient tombs, and cruised down the Nile as a tour leader. Her time in Egypt sparked a broader love for the continent and she has traveled extensively from Kenya to South Africa. A passion for kayaking next brought her to New Zealand, where she worked as a sea kayaking guide in the stunning Marlborough Sounds. Eventually, Julie settled in Alberta, Canada, where she is currently raising her family with her Kiwi husband. When she’s not hiking in the mountains during the summer, you can find her cheering on her two boys at hockey or rugby games.
