Arrive to Santiago, Chile’s metropolitan capital, where your private guide will take you to your boutique hotel in the charming Lastarria neighborhood. Lastarria is a nice area for walking around, with quiet streets, flowering trees, attractive colonial architecture, and a variety of restaurants and boutiques.
There are plenty of things to see and do in the Santiago area. Take a private tour of Santiago, either on your arrival day or as a one-day extension, or add a trip (day or overnight) to nearby wine country or the historic port city of Valparaíso. Just let us know your interests.
The 62 room Singular Santiago is one of the top boutique hotel options in Santiago, elegantly combining the style of early 20th century buildings with neoclassical French architectural influences. Situated in the historic and stylish Lastarria neighborhood, the hotel features a restaurant and a rooftop terrace with swimming pool and bar.
Alternative lodging options: Casa Bueras Lastarria Boutique , Hotel Magnolia
Take a private tour of Santiago and visit the colonial and modern highlights, including the Plaza de Armas and the La Moneda Presidential Palace. You’ll also spend time in the Central Market, an enormous, active marketplace, and head to the top of San Cristobal Hill for views of the entire city. After your tour, spend the rest of the day exploring on your own and trying out the city’s restaurants – we’ll provide a list of our top recommendations!
There are plenty of things to see and do in the Santiago area. If you prefer to get out of the city, we can arrange private day tours or overnight trips to the coast to visit the colorful port city of Valparaiso, or Pablo Neruda’s house at Isla Negra, or down to the wine country. Just let us know your interests and we’ll customize your trip to suit them.
*Includes: Breakfast
Fly south to Punta Arenas (or fly directly to Puerto Natales on select seasonal flights) and enjoy a scenic private transfer to your hotel, set just outside Puerto Natales. Located at the opening of the Última Esperanza Sound, Puerto Natales is a picturesque small village and the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park.
A former cold-storage plant houses this 57-room heritage hotel, located near Puerto Natales. Since Chile has strict conservation rules, the hotel architect left the original external brickwork intact, and installed a funicular to take guests down from the hotel entrance to the reception area. The hotel bar, carved from a cavernous chamber, is known for its octopus and king crab specialties. Edwardian style rooms feature mahogany writing desks, brass lamps and sepia prints. The hotel also features a private collection of equipment and artifacts. The Singular is located about 3 miles outside Puerto Natales on a remote stretch of waterfront land.
Alternative lodging options: Weskar Patagonian Lodge , Simple Patagonia
Embark on an incredible day trip of your choice on one of Singular Patagonia’s many offered excursions. Connect with locals, traditions, history and cultural highlights of the region through a selection of tours offering a wide variety of things to do. Nearby attractions include estancias, the Milodon Caves, Sophia Lake, Dorotea Hill and the local town of Puerto Natales, where guests can interact with locals and explore one of the world’s most extraordinary national parks. The excursions menu changes season over season, offering you a complete experience of the true Patagonia.
*Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Enjoy guided excursions each day to see the park’s iconic sites, such as the soaring granite towers from which it takes its name. Each day you can choose from active excursions, such as hiking, and more relaxed ones, such as driving tours and scenic walks. The guides at your lodge will discuss the options with you and help you plan a trip that matches your interests.
Today you will say goodbye to your local guide and head to the Punta Arenas airport where you’ll catch your flight home or to your next destination.
Add a few extra nights in Santiago or visit the coastal city of Valparaíso. We can arrange a variety of activities, including city tours, wine tours, culinary excursions, visits to historical sites, and active options such as hiking, biking and horseback riding.
Explore the glaciers and fjords at the bottom of South America with the possibility of stepping foot on Cape Horn by taking a small ship Patagonia cruise on the Stella Australis or Ventus Australis.
Stay a few nights on a vineyard in the Casablanca, San Antonio or Colchagua wine valleys. Tour and taste the wines from small boutique wineries or bike from one to another and enjoy the culinary tastes of Chilean wine country.
Extend your visit with some time in the lovely Lake District, Easter Island, or the Atacama desert.
Include some downtime for rest and relaxation! Some free time to unwind or have a massage will allow you to feel refreshed and ready for the remainder of your trip. Patricia & John Kendzierski
We loved our trip. Everything was perfectly planned out, all the transfers worked like a charm, and on time. I would not have been able to have a trip like this if I had planned it myself.
