Welcome to Santiago
Arrive to Santiago, Chile’s metropolitan capital, where your private guide will take you to your boutique hotel in the charming Lastarria neighborhood. Lastarria is a nice area for walking around, with quiet streets, flowering trees, attractive colonial architecture, and a variety of restaurants and boutiques.
There are plenty of things to see and do in the Santiago area. Take a private tour of Santiago, either on your arrival day or as a one-day extension, or add a trip (day or overnight) to nearby wine country or the historic port city of Valparaíso. Just let us know your interests.

Take a private tour of Santiago and visit the colonial and modern highlights, including the Plaza de Armas and the La Moneda Presidential Palace. If you prefer to get out of the city, we can arrange private day tours or overnight trips to the coast to visit the colorful port city of Valparaiso, or Pablo Neruda’s house at Isla Negra, or down to the wine country. The Windswept Strait of Magellan and Last Hope Sound
Fly south to Punta Arenas (or fly directly to Puerto Natales on select seasonal flights) and enjoy a scenic private transfer to your hotel, set just outside Puerto Natales. Located at the opening of the Última Esperanza Sound, Puerto Natales is a picturesque small village and the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park.

A former cold-storage plant houses this 57-room heritage hotel, located near Puerto Natales. Since Chile has strict conservation rules, the hotel architect left the original external brickwork intact, and installed a funicular to take guests down from the hotel entrance to the reception area. The hotel bar, carved from a cavernous chamber, is known for its octopus and king crab specialties. Edwardian style rooms feature mahogany writing desks, brass lamps and sepia prints. The hotel also features a private collection of equipment and artifacts. The Singular is located about 3 miles outside Puerto Natales on a remote stretch of waterfront land.
