Day 1:

Welcome to Cape Town

Welcome to Cape Town! Scenically beautiful, Cape Town is a compelling mix of trendy modern and old-world elegance. Glamorous hotels, world-class dining and stunning vistas merge seamlessly with dynamic student suburbs and vibrant nightlife. Malay and African heritage is evident in the cuisine, traditions and entertainment while the architecture reveals a strong Dutch, German and English flavor and style.

As you land in ‘The Mother City’ you are escorted through the airport and into your waiting private transfer. A boutique hotel in the City Bowl is the perfect base for exploring on a range of privately curated tours to suit any interest.

Day 2:

Get to Know Cape Town

Explore the dramatic rocky slopes of Table Mountain, either with an early morning hike or a trip up the rotating cable car. Your private local guide with walk you through the scenery below as you stand on top of the city. After you descend the adventure continues as you have the option to discover the storied neighborhoods of Bo-Kaap, the Victoria and Albert Waterfront or the Company Gardens. You have the flexibility with your private guide to explore Cape Town at your own pace, making detours and stops along the way. Day 3:

Private Cape Point & Peninsula: Coast lines, Penguins, Picnics and More

Explore the rugged coast, the Cape of Good Hope and the endangered African Penguin colony on a full day tour with your private guide in a specialty vehicle. Visit the key sites away from the bustling crowds and engage with the local history and culture of the region.

Drive Chapmans Peak- one of the most scenic coastal drives in the world, and experience the meeting of the two oceans at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Indulge in a picnic lunch at on a secluded beach, explore charming fishing villages and their hidden galleries and photo spots.

Go on to historic Simon’s Town, and see the African Penguins colony in their natural habitat from the boardwalks of Boulder’s Beach. Each day out on the Peninsula can be catered to suit your interests, from activities for the whole family to quirky off the beaten path stops, this day out will be tailored to you.

Day 4:

Food Tours and Winelands

Discover the hidden gems of Cape Town during a morning food tour with your private guide who is also a qualified chef and professional food critic – we promise that your taste buds will thank you!

This exclusive tasting experience is a leisurely walking tour which includes a variety of food and drink tastings around central Cape Town, from the more popular to the obscure and from traditional cuisine to modern. Admire the city’s architectural styles and influences as you gain insight into local culture, history and food trends.

Afterward you will be collected by your private driver for short scenic drive to the charming Cape Winelands and your exclusive estate winery accommodation.

Day 5:

A day in wine country

Tour the stunning valleys and vineyards of the Cape Wine Route with your knowledgeable private wine guide as you sample your way through unique food and wine pairings that showcase the cultivar of the region.

Franschhoek, the charming town where you will stay, is arguably the culinary headquarters of the country and home to the creative genius of a number of resident chefs. Enjoy gourmet meals lovingly prepared by experienced chefs and served in lush gardens, or stylish restaurants. Sample local wines and explore the cellars of well-established wine farms. The Winelands is all about stepping back from the hectic pace of modern living, and appreciating the finer things in life in some of the most gorgeous and tranquil locations this country has to offer.

Day 6:

Return to Cape Town and fly onward to Safari

The Greater Kruger area is home to a variety of private reserves all with pristine wilderness, luxurious lodges and some of the world’s premier safari game viewing.

After you arrive and check in to your safari lodge, you will head out on your first official game drive. Climb aboard the custom safari vehicle and get your camera ready as you head out into the reserve in search of your first potential sighting of elephants, lions, leopard, buffalo and rhino or perhaps stop to appreciate some of the smaller species you encounter along the way. Take in a spectacular sunset in the bush complete with the canapes and cocktails before you head back to camp.

Day 7:

The Safari Continues

Enjoy your first full on safari at a private reserve. Head out for your morning game drive as you watch the sunrise and the African bush come to life- who knows what you might spot in these early morning hours when wildlife is often the most active. Listen to the bird calls swell as the sun rises and you reconnect with nature.

After a leisurely afternoon in camp, relaxing or enjoying the wellness amenities at your lodge, get set for another exciting game drive in the hands of your expert ranger and tracker.

Day 8:

Another Day on Safari

Explore new areas of the reserve as you continue to check off animal and bird sightings on your list, led by your expert guide and tracker. Revisit den sites, dams and waterholes or the areas patrolled by a territorial pride of lions as you become entwined in the drama and stories of every day life in the bush.

Make some time for a spa treatment, or peer off the deck with a pair of binocular as you relax in camp between game drives.

Day 9:

On Safari

Your last day on safari beings with another spectacular sunrise in Africa as the wilderness awakens and you sip your morning coffee in the bush. Snap a few more keepsake photos on your last game drives, take a dip in the pool and enjoy a night of song and dance by the fire in the boma. The exceptional service, and remote location on safari is truly the best way to decompress and reconnect with the essence of nature.

Day 10:

Fly from Safari to the beach

Return to the airport in your private transfer to catch your onward flight to Mozambique and the beaches of the Indian Ocean.

Vilanculos is a quaint costal village and the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago, network of five picturesque islands that are home to a remarkably diverse marine reserve. These extremely fertile terrestrial and marine ecosystems harbor many rare and endemic bird, reptile and marine species, including over 2,000 fish species and iconic marine megafaunas such as whales, sharks, rays, dolphins, turtles and the last viable population of dugongs within the Western Indian Ocean.

The spectacular beaches here are sure to delight as you spend some time relaxing on the sand.

Day 11:

A day at leisure on the beach

Your boutique beach resort is renowned for its exceptional service and barefoot luxury. A stay in the exclusive use, intimate Chapel Suite offers you the privacy and tranquility needed to truly relax.

Take part in some of the many activities both included and on offer at the resort. Spend the day out on the on the crystal clear water on a variety of boating excursions from sailing to snorkeling or explore the colorful markets and local shops of Vilanculos town.

Assorted kayaks, stand up paddle boards, snorkeling gear, fishing gear and even a gym in a bag for a quick workout session or yoga on the sunset patio are all onsite for you to enjoy.

Day 12:

Beach time

Indulge in another day at leisure on the beach. Enjoy a feeling of lightness with the sea and sky surrounding you as you try out a Yoga session with an aromatic herbal tea and fruit infused iced water waiting for you at the end.

Or let your body and mind ease in to a deep state of relaxation with a treatment at the Na Colina Spa.

Day 13:

Spend your last day at the beach however you like! Sit by the pool, take in the views, schedule that last activity on your list or head down the beach and get your toes in the sand.

Day 14:

Farewell Africa

Return by private transfer to Vilanculos and board your flight back to Johannesburg to connect with your flight home, or to your onward journey. If you have an exceptionally long layover we are happy to arrange some touring, or a day room so you can freshen up before your flight.
